My home's latest addition, Fall & Winter 2004...  (Who knows when it will be completed!)

One current project
is completing a Japanese-style timberframe addition begun in 2004 at the north side of the house.  It will unify all the work of the past and remedy dry rot that has occurred over the past 135 years.

Winter views of construction

It's not a swimming pool!

The beam supports the old stairwell so it doesn't collapse in the pit.

The ridge beam extends from the house and supports the roof

Geology:  a great source for later landscaping!

Marion drove the bobcat down the west side of the house, excavating excavating excavating for 8-foot ceilings.
